So, you like the idea of embossed or debossed packaging and you want some ideas on how to put this into your own packaging?
We don't blame you!
Some of the most appealing packaging on the market includes a tasteful emboss or deboss. This simple technique leaves the consumer feeling there is something different and special about the packaging.
What many people do not realize is that debossing and embossing can actually be used in place of a hot stamp or ink. Therefore, it might be less expensive for longer production runs.
Sure, if you want your logo as your debossing or embossing, then you will need to buy a tool, which can be pricey for shorter runs. However, it will give you an effect like none other.
Let's take a look at some examples of deboss and embossed packaging -- hopefully something catches your eye.
Now, there are no photos of this included here, but you should be aware that you can deboss and emboss a plain printed paper to give it the feel of a luxurious textured paper. We've mastered this technique at Contempo (not to brag, but we've done some beautiful work in this area). You would take the plain printed paper, print a pattern, then use the embossing tool to give the paper texture.
Feel free to contact us if you want to see an example of this type of effect in packaging.
Hope this inspires you to go out there and do something great -- think different about your packaging and use it to separate yourself from the rest!
